No. This is a deliberate design choice. Many invoice tools let you build the whole invoice and only reveal the signup wall when you click "Download" — we think that's a bait-and-switch. With PayMrBill you fill in the form, preview the result live, and download the PDF immediately. Nothing ever asks for your email address.

Your data never leaves your device. The entire generator runs in your web browser: the calculations, the preview, and the PDF are all produced locally on your computer or phone. There is no server receiving your business details, your client's information, or your invoice amounts. If you click "Save draft," it is stored only in your browser's local storage — the same place websites keep preferences — and you can delete it at any time with the "Clear" button or your browser settings. For taxes, you can add as many tax lines as you need, each with its own label and rate — so VAT, GST, state sales tax, or any combination works, and each is calculated on the discounted subtotal. Discounts can be a percentage or a fixed amount. You can also choose from 36 currencies, and amounts are formatted with the correct symbol automatically.

Click the "Download PDF" button above the live preview. The PDF is generated directly in your browser — the text stays selectable (not a blurry image), and the file is automatically named after your invoice number, for example INV-0001.pdf. If you prefer paper or your own PDF printer, the "Print" button opens a clean print view with just the invoice.

At minimum: your business name and contact details, your client's name and address, a unique invoice number, the issue date and payment due date, a clear description of each item or service with quantity and rate, the subtotal, any taxes and discounts, and the total amount due. Adding payment details (bank transfer info or a payment link) in the notes field gets you paid faster — invoices with clear payment instructions are paid noticeably sooner. Add a tax line, label it "VAT" (or "GST", "Sales Tax", etc.), and set your rate — you can add several, which is useful when different items carry different rates or when you need to show tax components separately. The invoice shows each tax line with its label and percentage, plus the total. Note that PayMrBill is a document generator, not tax software: it calculates exactly what you enter, so make sure the rates you use are correct for your jurisdiction. It does not provide tax advice.

Yes. PayMrBill auto-increments your invoice numbers (INV-0001, INV-0002, and so on) using your browser's local storage, so each new invoice picks up where the last one left off — even across sessions. You can edit the number manually any time, for example to use a year-based scheme like 2026-001. Sequential, gap-free numbering matters for clean bookkeeping and is required by tax authorities in many countries.
